The Limerick Garden Plants Group (or the LGPG as it is generally known) is a society of plant enthusiasts from the Limerick region. The group has been in operation since 1997 and has a membership of approximately 100.
The region is conditioned by the benign effects of the Gulf Stream and as such, allows our gardeners to grow more tender species of plants.
Most of the Group have interesting gardens with unusual and often rare plants. Some of these gardens are open to the public at least once per Spring / Summer season.
The LGPG runs an extensive programme of events throughout the year, including monthly talks by eminent horticulturists, all aimed at offering technical information, new ideas in garden design, plant culture and of course, absolute enjoyment.
